I just received a call from this company...I have received a few before and they make it sound as if they are actually with (Representatives of OSHA) I would think they would have a problem with them...in any case I had told them to email me any information...which they did.

I decided not to use their service

The call went something like this...I don't record our calls...After saying I wasn't interested the gentleman said what are you going to do..I said we will take catre of the safety in house.

He ...a bit rudely said ..there's a new administration...I hope you don't get fined.

Excuse me for not using the product.....I have been in this business for over 30 years & these people are threatening me with fines....They are NOT OSHA nor are they an affiliate of them.

Steer Clear of this group if you can

Yes, they got our tiny business as well. We purchased a labor law poster and since then , we have been getting calls.

My partner fell for it. Called manger Joseph.Lanning@***.com ... He said he listened to the call . Nothing came across as threats.

Im just amazed companies stay open like this. There has to be some type of legal support for this. We should all contact the same attorney and fight these guys. Lets get a class action lawsuit on this.

I too have been victimized by sales representatives of this company who use intimidation and misguidance as their #1 sales tactics. They obviously have no morals or a conscience for that matter! Shame on you!

Hi all potential or previous victims,

I worked for this company for almost a year. I worked in management and I can speak directly to most of the previous accusations.

The company as a whole, does not have ill-intentions. There are some great people that currently work, or previously worked there. They are mostly good people that sell a decent product and yes, there are cheaper of means of getting the material, as there is with most products. Unfortunately, it is also one of the most poorly managed companies I have ever had the experience of dealing with. Starting at the Vice President, on down to the General Managers.

They hire salespeople in as "Safety Consultants" or "Senior Safety Consultants" with little to almost no real safety training or experience. This is probably their first mistake and certainly toes the line of what is ethical and what is not. Then, they hire these individuals at a minimum wage (most of the time) rate and attempt to drive them with lucrative bonuses and incentives. Normally, agents earn 10% of each sale, after a set dollar amount. The problem is, they rarely actually discipline the agents when an infraction occurs, or when unethical sales arise. Of course, there are one's and two's that they attempt to make an example of (normally newer agents, or agents with productivity problems), but ultimately, if one of their "money makers" or a salesperson with an aggressive, yet successful track record breaks a regulation (or even at times a law), rarely are they truly disciplined. Discipline may come in the form of a verbal warning, a write up, or a written warning, in extreme circumstances they are suspended for a day or two but ultimately, nothing is done to correct the problem. If you make the company money, legitimately or not, you will have a position with them.

Secondly, anyone that challenges senior management's approach to conducting business is eventually terminated, legitimately or otherwise. A path forward is determined at the senior management level and any challenge to this path will land you in the unemployment line. If you disagree with a product they are going to start selling, or a method in which the product is delivered, or even an audience to which it's being introduced, and you voice your concerns, you will be fired.

What's funny, is they are currently working on taking their company public and in doing so, are on an extremely aggressive public relations campaign. When I first started working with this company, there were HUNDREDS if not THOUSANDS of Better Business Bureau complaints for a wide range of reasons and magically, those complaints are gone. The complaints are gone, most of the websites that posted about their misfortunes are gone, and the perception is 100% distorted. What's unfortunate, is that IF this company is able to go public, all potential investors, board members, shareholders and any otherwise unsuspecting people and companies will be unknowingly purchasing shares of a company with fraudulent business practices, average products, a poor approach, and highly questionable ethical guidelines. It's too bad.

I worked in the YUMA AZ location, is a SCAM because you take advantage of peoples ignorance, on osha regulations, they assume you guys are the good guys without even noticing that most of the time they dont need the posters. i saw how you ASSUME IT IS AN OWNER, AND GET THEM WITH THE 30DAY INVOICE, you dont care for their company at all, you dont care if its a made up "owner" and just a person answering a phone, you start by sending them a bill, and then screwing their company credit, oh yeah because they say " we are a compliance company that help small businesses stay in compliance with OSHA regulations, we help the small business owners because we know that small businesses dont have the money to pay such fines" KEYWORD THEY KNOW YOU ARE A SMALL BUSINESS AND THAT MOST OF THE TIME YOU DONT HAVE ANYONE THAT CAN HELP YOU TAKE LEGAL ACTION, AGAINST THEIR COLLECTION AGENCYS.

And that they have you recorded, is bull, they dont really know who is making the purchase nor, cant they prove if it was an owner or a AUTHORIZE DECISION MAKER, when you hear that always say NO and ASK Why you have been called, and also they train you to NOT PLACE YOU IN THE "DO NOT CALL LIST" Unless you hear the pitch and say exactly " PUT ME ON YOUR DO NOT CALL LIST" If you dont say that expect a call in either 3 months or 6 months it depends on the "DISPOSITION" list. Beware of RICK ROPRIGUEZ the QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER, bs, and MIKE the GM in YUMA AZ

I sell update service on posting requirements It is true we use deceptive calling but in no way we lie, we call leaving messages saying "MY NAME IS --- AND I WAS TOLD TO CALL YOU ABOUT YOUR STATE AND FEDERAL POSTING REQUIREMENTS AND YOU CAN REACH ME AT 1-88*-***-****." In no way there is a lie, we were told to call you and it is about your posters. Guess what it is SALES BUSINESS, IF YOU ARE A SALESMAN YOU WOULD UNDERSTAND.

When we get trough to a secretary or recepcionist, we start by saying " MAY I SPEAK WITH AN OWNER OR AN OFFICE MANAGER?" and when we do get trough,IF LUCKY, we start by sayin " HI, MY NAME IS ----- I AM FROM SAFETY SERVICES COMPANY, AND I WAS CALLING IN REGARDS TO THE STATE AND FEDERAL POSTING REQUIREMENTS, ARE YOU THE PERSON IN CHARGE OF GETTING THEM UPDATED?" then wether their answer is NOT INTERESTED or WE ARE SET, or we WE GET THEM THROUGH ANOTHER VENDOR, or GET THEM FROM THE STATE, or DOWNLOAD THEM FROM THE INTERNET, or GET THEM FROM PAYROLL\ACCOUNTANT\INSURANCE. i start by " WELL ALL AM TRYING TO DO IS MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE OSHA REGULATIONS, AND CURRNET LABOR LAW UPDATES, or "DO YOU MIND ME ASKING WERE YOU GET THEM FROM" or " WE ARE N.A. LARGEST PROVIDER OF SAFETY MATERIALS, I WOULD LOVE TO EARN YOUR BUSINESS, I CAN GET YOU A BETTER PRICE", or " WELL THE STATE DOES PROVIDE YOU WITH ONE PER YEAR BUT THEY DO NOT KEEP YOU UPDATED TROUGHOUT THE YEAR, WE DO, I DONT KNOW IF YOU KNOW THIS BUT SOMETIMES THEY DO ACTUALIZATIONS OR UPDATES ON THE SECTION AND ONCE THAT IS DONE THE POSTER IS OUT OF DATE BUT WE CAN HELP YOU UPDATE THEM"... NOW TELL ME WHERE IS THE LIE???? WE NEVER SAID WE WERE FROM OSHA, PLUS PEOPLE ARE EITHER TOO LAZY OR STUPED TO FIND OUT ABOUT THE POSTING REQUIREMENTS UPDATES??

IN A WAY WE ARE DOING A FAVOR BUT NOT LETTING YOU GET IN TROUBLE FOR SOME POSTERS, PLUS THEY HELP YOU IF YOU HAVE a DISGRUNTLED EMPLOYEE, AND HE CAN START BY THERE, NOT HAVING HIS RIGHTS POSTED, THEN YOU ARE IN ***. SO THE WAY I SEE IT WE HELP YOU, SO WE CAN HELP US, WHY BECAUSE WE MOSTLY MAKE OUR CHECK ON COMMISSIONS, AND YES IT IS NOT A PERFECT COMPANY, YES THERE ARE SALES REPS WITH NO EDIQUETTE, OR NO SOUL, THEY ARE ALL FOR THE SALE, THEY EXPLAIN WHAT THEY ARE TRYING TO SALE AND IF YOU JUST GET NERVOUS BY BEING IGNORANT AND DECIDE TO BUY THEM HOW IS THAT OUR FAULT, BECAUSE THERE ARE A LOT OF BUSINESSES THAT ARE EXCEMPT AND DONT EVEN KNOW IT AND HAVE HAD OUR SERVICES FOR YEARS.

WE ONLY INFORM YOU ON WHAT WE ARE SALING AND ASUME THAT YOU NEED THEM. I worked for that company for over a year and it was a nightmare, yes they do use scare tactics the managers will allow employees to lie anything to make the sale and yes employees do say they are from osha and yes they have last time I was there was 2 prison offices and I am a convicted felon and they hired me. The worst thing about it is I was sick of LIEING and calling these businesses that I quit I couldn't take it and I couldn't stand harassing people the managers have you call people till they submit and buy seriously you can get it for free or a lot cheaper and better from jj Keller safety compliance call your state osha and they will do a safety evaluation for free. The number always comes up as a local number to throw you off steer clear and if you hear anything good about them its just an employee backing them up.

That place is a scam it is a small company maybe 50 reps max. Customer Service, Sales and "Collections" literally sit right next to each other.

All the material they ship out is made in the back. All the OSHA certifications that cost $500 are printed in the back and the dvd is burned in the back also.

Biggest SCAM ever watch out... I used to sell the stuff

I would classify it as extremely aggressive solicitation. Not technically illegal, but ethically questionable.

Safety Services does not claim to be affiliated with OSHA AT ALL, every rep I have asked directly states that they provide materials that are required by OSHA, which is absolutely true. If you choose not to use them and handle it yourself, that is your perrogative, but you will probably end up spending more and still get fined anyway. I don't use them but I use a similar program that is a bit more expensive and the only reason i haven't switched is because I have already been with the other provider for many years, but i always keep it in mind.

Trust me, if you are angry with Safety Services it's because you aren't intelligent enough to understand what they are telling you or unwilling to give them 5 minutes of your time, not because they are doing anything wrong. They make money by helping you spend less of it. That is fact, not opinion.

If you are in California and you do not use Safety Services you are a *** and don't value your profit margins at all. I have used them for 8 years, they are amazing and I trust them wholeheartedly.
